About Program

The Master of Science in Public Health is a two-year degree program structured across four semesters. The first two semesters focus on coursework, while the final two semesters are dedicated to a health or hospital-based project together with on-the-job practicum experience.

The program carries a total of 42 credit hours. The curriculum is designed around major public health challenges faced by developing countries, with particular attention to Pakistan, and prepares students to examine these challenges and develop practical policy responses. Its academic and research components are tailored to the professional needs of students working in or preparing for careers in public health.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Academic Qualification: Applicants must hold a 16-year undergraduate qualification such as BS Public Health, MBBS, BDS, MD, BS Nursing, DVM, DPT, Pharm-D, BS Human Nutrition & Dietetics, MSc Epidemiology, or an equivalent BS-level qualification in an Allied Health discipline.
  • Professional Experience: Candidates with 16 years of education in a discipline other than those listed above may also be considered if they have at least two years of professional experience in a public health-related field.
  • Admission Test & Interview: In addition to the basic eligibility requirements, applicants must pass the AIU admission test with a minimum score of 50%. Candidates who qualify the test will be called for an interview, and previous academic performance will also be considered when the final merit list is prepared.
