BS Public Health

About Program

The BS Public Health is a four-year degree program designed to prepare students for professional roles in public health and community healthcare. The program provides knowledge of health promotion, disease prevention, community health, healthcare management, and public health practices. It spans eight semesters and comprises 135 credit hours.

Students develop both theoretical understanding and practical skills to identify health concerns, support preventive healthcare programs, and contribute to improving the health of communities. Graduates may pursue opportunities in hospitals, public health departments, healthcare organizations, research institutions, and community health projects.

Eligibility Criteria

  • 4 Years: Candidates with HSSC (Pre-Medical / Relevant Technology) or A-Levels with an equivalency certificate from IBCC Islamabad and at least 50% marks are eligible to apply. Applicants holding a relevant diploma from a recognized Medical Faculty may also apply if they have at least 50% marks in the annual system or a minimum 2.00 CGPA out of 4.00 in the semester system, along with the required equivalency.
  • 2 Years: Candidates holding an Associate Degree in Relevant Technology with at least 2.00 CGPA out of 4.00 from a recognized university/DAI may enter from the 5th semester of the degree program. Additional credit hours may be required where applicable according to the previous qualification and approved scheme of studies.
  • Entry Test / Interview: Candidates may be required to appear in an entry test or interview conducted by the university or an authorized testing body.
