About Program

The B.Ed 2.5 Years program is designed for candidates who have completed 14 years of education through an old BA/BSc degree or an Associate Degree in a non-education discipline and want to earn a professional teaching qualification. The program develops a strong foundation in teaching methods, educational psychology, classroom management, curriculum, assessment, and educational leadership.

A major focus of the program is practical teacher preparation. Students strengthen their classroom skills through teaching practice and exposure to real educational settings, helping them connect educational theory with effective teaching. Graduates are prepared for professional roles such as subject teachers, education officers, curriculum developers, academic coordinators, and school administrators.

Objectives

  1. Develop learner-centered and activity-based teaching practices for effective classroom learning.
  2. Promote modern and innovative instructional approaches in place of outdated teaching methods.
  3. Prepare teachers who can contribute to improving literacy and the quality of education.
  4. Strengthen professional competence so graduates can contribute effectively in educational institutions.
  5. Develop the ability to understand and address educational and societal challenges through responsible teaching practice.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Academic Qualification: Candidates holding a Bachelor degree or an Associate Degree in a non-education discipline with a minimum 2.00/4.00 CGPA under the semester system are eligible to apply. Candidates holding a BA/BSc based on 14 years of education must have at least 45% marks under the annual system from a recognized university or DAI.
