About Program

The B.Ed 1.5 Years program is a professional teacher-education qualification designed for individuals who have already completed 16 years of education and want to develop advanced teaching and educational leadership skills. The program focuses on modern teaching approaches, educational planning, classroom management, assessment, and effective learning practices.

A strong practical component gives students opportunities to apply teaching methods in real classroom settings through supervised teaching practice. The program prepares graduates to work confidently as educators and academic professionals in schools, colleges, and other educational institutions, with career pathways that may include subject teaching, curriculum development, educational administration, and academic coordination.

Objectives

  1. Develop learner-centered and activity-based teaching practices for effective classroom learning.
  2. Encourage the use of modern and innovative instructional approaches in place of outdated teaching methods.
  3. Prepare educators who can contribute to improving literacy and the overall quality of education.
  4. Strengthen professional competence so graduates can contribute effectively to the field of education.
  5. Develop the ability to understand and address educational and societal challenges through responsible teaching practice.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Academic Qualification: Candidates with 16 years of education, such as BSCS, BE, MBBS, BDS, MBA, MA, or an equivalent degree in a discipline other than Education, are eligible to apply with at least 2.00/4.00 CGPA under the semester system or 45% marks under the annual system.
  • Entry Test / Aptitude Interview: Applicants are required to pass an entry test or aptitude interview conducted by the university as part of the admission process.
