About Program

The MPhil Education is a postgraduate research-based program designed to strengthen advanced understanding of educational theory, practice, policy, and research. The program explores important areas such as educational psychology, curriculum development, educational leadership, research methodology, and contemporary issues in education.

Students are encouraged to investigate educational challenges through independent research and to develop evidence-based perspectives that can contribute to improvement in teaching, learning, administration, and policy. The program prepares graduates for professional and academic roles in research, curriculum development, educational consultancy, higher education, and other education-related fields.

Objectives

  1. Develop in-depth knowledge and a stronger academic understanding of key areas in Education.
  2. Build the ability to critically examine educational theories, concepts, and practices and make informed academic judgments.
  3. Enable students to identify educational problems, formulate research questions, and investigate them through systematic research.
  4. Strengthen the ability to connect, integrate, and synthesize different ideas and evidence for the improvement of educational quality.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Academic Qualification: Applicants must have completed 16 years of education in a relevant field such as BS Education, B.Ed 1.5 Years, MA Education, M.Ed, MA EPM, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized university or institution.
  • Minimum Academic Requirement: A minimum 2.00/4.00 CGPA under the semester system or at least 50% marks under the annual system is required.
  • Admission Test: Applicants must pass GRE, HAT, or AIU-GAT (General), conducted by a registered testing agency or the university, with at least 50% cumulative score.
  • Departmental Interview: Candidates are also required to clear the departmental interview as part of the admission process.
