About Program

The BS Dental Technology (Allied Health Sciences) program provides students with a strong foundation in dental hygiene, oral healthcare, preventive dentistry, patient care, and the practical procedures used to support healthy teeth and gums. The program combines scientific knowledge with hands-on clinical learning so students can understand common oral health problems and appropriate preventive care.

Students are prepared to carry out preventive and clinical dental hygiene procedures, support oral health education, follow infection-control and patient-safety standards, and communicate professionally with patients and healthcare teams. The program also encourages evidence-based practice, research awareness, and participation in community oral health services.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Academic Qualification: Applicants must have completed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (12 years of schooling) in the Pre-Medical group or a relevant discipline, or hold an IBCC-equivalent qualification, with at least 50% cumulative marks.
  • Admission Test / Merit: The university may prescribe an eligibility score above 50% and may require an entry or admission test through its own testing system or a reputable external testing service, according to the screening, admission, and merit criteria approved by the relevant statutory bodies.
