About Program

The BS Anesthesia Technology (Allied Health Sciences) program prepares students for the technical and clinical responsibilities involved in anesthesia care. The program covers core areas such as anesthesia principles, pharmacology, human physiology, patient monitoring, perioperative care, anesthesia equipment, infection control, and patient safety.

Students develop practical skills to support anesthesiologists and surgical teams before, during, and after procedures, while learning to monitor patients, handle anesthesia-related equipment, follow safety protocols, and respond appropriately to clinical situations. The program also promotes professional communication, teamwork, ethical practice, research awareness, and continuous learning for careers in hospitals, surgical centers, intensive care units, and other healthcare environments.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Academic Qualification: Applicants must have completed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (12 years of schooling) in the Pre-Medical group or a relevant discipline, or possess an IBCC-equivalent qualification, with at least 50% cumulative marks.
  • Admission Test / Merit: The university may set an admission threshold above 50% and may require an entry or admission test through its own testing system or a reputable external testing service, in accordance with the screening, admission, and merit criteria approved by the relevant statutory bodies.
